Oh, how ingrained they are in society and our everyday lives that it's almost second nature to have one attached at the ear or hiding inside the pocket of your jeans. People have grown so used to them that they whip them out in the middle of dinner, and the person across from them does the same thing -- it's barely noticed when someone uses them during social events either.
You trust them like the technological best-friend you never had, you freak out when you lose them, and can't handle being without it. It's odd the way this little compact device sways our lives. Do you trust your phone? You must if you spend more time with it than other people.
Maybe, you should trust it less.
